About Ms. IyengarI am so excited to start my 7th year at CMS. I have been part of CUSD since 2013, when I was a student teacher for a year at Miller Middle School. I started teaching at CMS in 2014 - GO BEARS!
@ CMSAt CMS I teach multiple science classes, including 7th grade life science, 8th grade physical science, and SEARCH (a science/technology enrichment elective). I am also one of our Yosemite trip coordinators, as well as the faculty advisor for our three Science Olympiads teams. My classroom is open every day at lunch for students who need help with classwork, or just want a space to work or hang out with friends. You will also often find me at the band and choir concerts throughout the year.
Outside of school... Outside of my CMS life, I really enjoy traveling. Recently I have been to the Cayman Islands, Sydney, the Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, and Lake Tahoe. I also enjoy spending time in Michigan with family.
Most of my students will tell you my hobbies seem to be games games and more games (...and they're not wrong!) - but I also spend a lot of my downtime reading mystery novels and conducting semi-successful cooking experiments. |
